An 1870's Problem Solver
 Both of these reproduction window sash holders were copied from an 1870s design, as indicated on the casting, and are an attractive addition to Victorian double hung windows. Sash holders screw to the face of the moveable sash and rotate to engage a cast iron catch, thus holding the window open. Available in two styles.

1947 #2 Duplex Sash Balances. A rare find in the original boxes with tension springs and nails. Sash balances were a “high tech” alternative to weights and sash pulleys. A perfect replacement for broken originals or a possible upgrade for existing weighted sash & pulley installations. One will handle sashes up to 36” wide by 40” tall up to 12 Lbs. Two may be used on sashes of any width up to 40” tall up to 24 Lbs.

Brass Faced, Cast Iron Sash Pulley
These are quite a bit heavier than the above ones. Salvaged, with a face place of nicely aged brass and the remainder being of cast iron, these pulleys measure 5” long and 1 1/8” wide and are 2” deep. Made by Anderson Company. Approximately 75 available.
