Pedestal Sinks Sink materials: Pedestal sinks may be made of earthenware, china, or cast iron. All three are coated with a ceramic glaze that is fired to give a smooth hard finish. Earthenware develops a "crackle" finish over time. This was orginally considered a flaw in the material but is now a much sought-after look in period restorations. China and cast iron largely replaced earthenware by the turn of the century; neither is as prone to cracking as earthenware. Cast iron is more durable than china but may be prone to chipping and rust.

1908 John Douglas “Atlas #2” Pegleg sink
Removed from the St. Francis hotel in San Francisco during a remodel some years ago, and it made it’s way here. This sink is in excellent condition considering it is 100 years old. No chips, just some deglossing in the basin itself. We replated the original overflow in nickel and sink will accept any single basin taps, available here. (Sold separately) Sink stands 30” tall, and is 24” wide by 20” deep. We do not see Douglas sinks much anymore, grab it quick!

	1914 Thomas Maddox Oval Pedestal Lavatory Large 29” x 22” slab is 31” above the floor. Generous 17” x 13” bowl with 12” faucet centers. 		1909 China Serpentine Pedestal Lavatory HUGE 30” x 24” top stands 31” high. 12-1/2” faucet centers on an oversize 18” x 13” bowl. Center hole is 2-1/8” Refinished top on original finish column pedestal. PS0303 2300.00

	This Art Deco beauty will accept modern widespread faucets. Slab measures 19-3/4” x 17-3/4”. 31-1/4” High, Faucet Centers 12” apart, and 1-1/4” Faucet Holes. SOLD

PS0425 Cast Iron Sink

1941 Crane Norwich Pedestal Sink
This classic beauty still has the complete Crane Drain assembly and will accept separate hot/cold taps. There is one watertight hairline crack at the drain, it does not leak, and is very common in sinks of this type and vintage. Otherwise, it’s in excellent condition! Sink stands 32” tall, and is 24” wide by 21” deep. Drain is in chrome.
