Pedestal Sinks Sink materials: Pedestal sinks may be made of earthenware, china, or cast iron. All three are coated with a ceramic glaze that is fired to give a smooth hard finish. Earthenware develops a "crackle" finish over time. This was orginally considered a flaw in the material but is now a much sought-after look in period restorations. China and cast iron largely replaced earthenware by the turn of the century; neither is as prone to cracking as earthenware. Cast iron is more durable than china but may be prone to chipping and rust.

			1914 Thomas Maddox Oval Pedestal Lavatory Large 29” x 22” slab is 31” above the floor. Generous 17” x 13” bowl with 12” faucet centers. 	L Wolff Powdercoated Cast iron Lavatory w/ Waste Don’t you love it when a plan comes together? A major factor when we select cast iron to be powdercoated is availability of fixtures. This sink had the extra hole in the top for a feed line for the mixing spout, a rare feature in an early sink. The patent date on this one is 1905. Anyway, we remembered seeing a spout that might fit in our parts warehouse, and lo and behold, it fit! The sink was coated, and here it is! The sink stands 31 1/4” tall, and is 33 1/4” x 23 1/2”. The sink will be fitted with a pair of reproduction valves with your choice of trim. PS0711 2100.00

1941 Crane Norwich Pedestal Sink
This classic beauty still has the complete Crane Drain assembly and will accept separate hot/cold taps. There is one watertight hairline crack at the drain, it does not leak, and is very common in sinks of this type and vintage. Otherwise, it’s in excellent condition! Sink stands 32” tall, and is 24” wide by 21” deep. Drain is in chrome.
